Museum students pass with success!
Carol Davies. Curator Manager Kendal Museum is absolutely delighted to announce that we have seen through another successful year of students completing the QCF, level 2 and level 3, Cultural Heritage Award in Museum Skill Qualification, at Kendal Museum.
Kendal Museum is managed by Kendal college and is unique in the United Kingdom to offer such a course where all can apply and learn skills to look after and celebrate our cultural heritage, completing occupational tasks at Kendal Museum.
In his summing up the External Verifier has praised Kendal museum and Kendal College for ‘sound museum practice with a range of practical opportunities to access for learners, to provide evidence for their portfolios’ – commending both the college and Kendal museum in ‘embracing the training of learners in a wholly holistic manner’.
I am proud to make the most of the opportunities provided by Kendal College, enabling Kendal Museum to teach and hand on these skills within our communities.
It’s a great partnership! providing both employment opportunities and sustainability for the future.
