Young Archaeologists’ Club

Yac

The YAC is a club for 8 - 17 year olds interested in archaeology. We meet once a month on a Saturday morning from 10.30am until 12.30pm, usually at Kendal Museum.

YAC sessions 2019 -

Topics may be subject to alteration. Unless otherwise stated all sessions are at Kendal Museum on a Saturday 10:30 to 12:30, entrance fee £3.00

Saturday 26th January : Mediterranean civilizations and their maps.

16th February : Sewage: Honoring 200 years since the Birth of Joseph Bazalgette who engineered the great sewers of London. (And looking at the Kendal history of sewage too).

16th March : Vikings in our museum! The Vikings will stay on after the YAC session when YAC families, and the general public, will be able to take part. We are open for that specific Saturday.

27th April : Empire and Maps

18th May : Cats and Dogs

15th June : Kendal Yards

21st September : Prehistory, Journeys and the art of maps.

19th October : The Ordnance Survey and their map making.

23rd November : John Ruskin and our Winter Feast.
